SoftBank reported a quarterly loss of ¥369 billion ($2.4 billion), driven by a sharp decline in the value of investments held by its Vision Funds. The loss was largely attributed to falling valuations of the South Korean e-commerce platform Coupang, Chinese ride-hailing service Didi Global, and AutoStore Holdings. The company’s cash and cash equivalents also declined to ¥4.7 trillion by the end of December, down from ¥6.2 trillion at the end of the previous fiscal year.
