Japanese Yen Falls to Lowest Level in a Month

The Japanese yen fell to the 147 range against the dollar, marking its lowest level in a month, following Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba’s remarks that Japan isn’t prepared for further interest rate hikes. The yen was also weakened due to stronger-than-expected U.S. private-sector employment data for September, which raised expectations for better investment returns in the U.S.
