NASDAQ Hits Two-Year High, Japan’s Nikkei 225 Nears 40,000 Mark

Stock prices have continued to rise in both the U.S. and Japan. The NASDAQ Composite Index reached a record high for the first time in two years and three months. The stock market in Japan is on the brink of reaching the 40,000 mark for the Nikkei 225.

On February 29, the NASDAQ Composite Index closed at 16,091.92, marking a 0.9 increase from the previous day’s trading on the NYSE. The record surpassed the previous high of 16,054.44 set on November 19, 2021, marking the highest level in two years and three months. On the same day, the NY Dow Jones Industrial Average rose by 0.12% to $38,996, and the S&P rose by 0.52 to 5,096,27.
